1st December 2019 is a day none of us will ever forget, it was the day that our beautiful and amazing friend sadly lost the fight to cancer.
During Dannys battle he was supported and cared for by many people and organisations, one especially being the Maggie Centre in Manchester. The Maggie centre is a place for anyone who is affected by cancer where they offer support and advice for physical strength and emotional wellbeing. This was a place where Danny enjoyed going during his treatment and where he felt happy, he met some lovely people and was able to talk openly about his journey. The Maggie centre is not only for cancer patients, but also to support their family and friends.
Since Danny got diagnosed in July 2019, we have all been discussing a way in which we can help and we decided to participate in a Tough Mudder Charity Event on 27th June 2020 in memory of our best friend. We would like to raise as much money as we can and for all donations to go to the Maggie Centre in Manchester.
We wanted to make this a day where we can smile and laugh in Dannys memory, and we know he will definitely be laughing at all of us trying to get through the mud and over the obstacles.
Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 all race for life events have now been cancelled for 2020. However, as a small group we still wanted to do something for Danny and to raise money for the Maggie Centre. Therefore, we have decided Hike (walk, crawl) Snowdon on Saturday 26th September.
Any amount of donation will mean the world to us and we thank you all in advance.
